Aims:

Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFICs) and Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) are now used extensively in communications and radar applications. This course draws together all the important MMIC design methods and device technologies. This is an advanced circuit design course and students must have a thorough understanding of RF and microwave engineering principles.
 

Objectives:

To provide an understanding of the principles of the design, modelling and measurement of RF and microwave monolithic integrated circuits.

Bursaries
 

This module is also available to students studying under the EPSRC-supported Continuing Education in the Electronic Systems Integration ("CEESI") Masters programme, and eligible students can apply for a bursary of £300 towards the cost of this course. Please see the web site www.ceesi.ac.uk for more information. Priority is given to students to commit to undertaking the exams relating to the module and that can prove that other sources of funding have been applied for but the applicant has been unsuccessful.
